#Hay(na)Ku Pedestrian poetry

Pedestrian poetry
——————————-

Words
Of mine,
Lost in cacophony.

Pedestrian,
They seem,
In the melee.

Wondering,
How to,
Create poetry exemplary?

Garnishing
My words,
With all finery!

Words,
In poetry,
I desire flowery.

Arousing
In soul,
Intense sentiments many.

Satiate
My craving,
For august poetry!

The Hay(na)ku poem, a very simple poetic form. It was created by poet Eileen Tabios with its debut in the Philippine Independence Day, June 12, in 2003.

Hay(na)ku is a 3-line poem with one word in the first line, two words in the second, and three in the third. There are no restrictions beyond this. Multiple hay(na)ku or “sequence” can be chained together to form longer poems.

For today’s prompt, my choice is Hay(na)ku style of poetry.
