The tiny light-bulbs flickered, Blinked and tittered; Some fast, while some with a pace, metered. Some shone bright in monochrome colours, Others chose company of multi-hued peers. Some fell like Rapunzel's hair from the rooftop to the ground below. Some lay in curls, On ledges and windows. Swaying gently in the passing wind. They seemed to enjoy Their day of freedom, from the dark lofts and attics.
Had written this last year on Diwali eve. Wishing everyone the very best during this festival of lights. Happy Diwali.
