Yes…and they come in shades of yellow and purple too. In spring time their bloom manages to relieve a lot of the monotony of smoky grey of the city. Unfortunately they are not very sturdy and are uprooted very easily during the storms. We lost many such trees during a recent cyclone that hit the eastern coast of India. So the municipality is having second thoughts on planting these trees once again. That would be quite sad in my opinion, unless of course they are replaced with trees bearing equally stunning flowers.

It’ll be a shame if they don’t put more in they are too magnificent to lose.
It seems they need to find ways to stop the pollution too.

Lovely lines and use of prompt! You’re having spring as the US is heading into autumn 🙂

Thank you so much. No, it is not spring here….in India, we are on the same side of the hemisphere as US. We are in autumn season as well, which will give way to winter by end of October. But as they say…When autumn beckons, can spring really be very far behind? 😊
