Bright morning glories,

Adorned fences in my town.

Hues-my mother taught.

Born in the year 1968, my childhood was spent amidst the beautiful scenic landscape of a small town in India, Ranchi. Though an engineer by qualification, reading, writing and cooking are my passions. Another thing that I am passionate about is my country, India. As they say, a lifetime is probably not enough to explore the whole of India. Currently based in Kolkata, I can be reached at gdutta17@gmail.com.

    1. Thanks. I remember my mother teaching me the difference between shades of pink and purple by showing me the two different ones that used to grow wild. Not that I understand the difference very well even today….my male genes to be blamed for it, I guess. 😀

    1. All moms are, I guess, great when it comes to teaching their children. They have their unique ways to impart knowledge. A few of these snatches of memory seems to have remained stuck in my mind. This prompt nudged one such memory. 😊
